As a leading global partner to professionals in the transportation maintenance and repair industry, Wurth USA is proud to earn National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) re-accreditation for Continuing Automotive Service Excellence (CASE). CASE is an extensive application process that takes a detailed look into the instructional strategies that a company uses to design, develop, implement and evaluate training. Since CASE Standards are the standard for the automotive training industry, Wurth USA is now aligned with benchmarks that are applied to their overall training efforts.
According to Program Coordinator, Larry Yeager, ASE was initially founded nearly fifty years ago out of a need to establish a series of tests to certify technicians for the overall improvement of the quality of repair and service. As the owner of an independent repair shop for 15 years Larry stated, "Back then there were so many different people, companies, and organizations conducting training; some were better than others and there was no way to determine which classes we needed to take and why." That 'why' resulted in ASE establishing guidelines for performance-based technician training in 1995 with the purpose of answering one critical question: "What are my technicians going to be able to do when they come back to the shop after training?"
Rich Schiavoni, Head of Academy at Wurth USA as well as Samantha Martino, Academy Coordinator, led Wurth USA’s re-accreditation process. The CASE evaluation team commended the overall effort as "very well done" specifically referencing valuable resources and documentation such as the Needs Analysis Verification Form, Career Development Guide, Field Training Guide, and strategy for instructor reviews. Yeager summarized by saying, "The outcome of Wurth USA's training process results in a very knowledgeable sales force that is able to react quickly to the needs of customers in a professional manner."
"With over 78,500 Würth colleagues worldwide, consistent training is critical. Preparation, confidence, and education equals trust. Quality technicians around the world don't want to see a vehicle they worked on back for the same issue they solved - ever. Würth very much embodies the "fix it once, fix it right" philosophy. We're blessed to have six Regional Trainers, each with their own area of specialty, which is a great thing. We look forward to pursuing our Level 4 in the near future to better track results from our training efforts." said Schiavoni
